
ICT Procurement Officer
This position plays a vital role in supporting the Council’s digital transformation journey by ensuring the efficient procurement, deployment, and management of ICT assets and services.
As an ICT Procurement Officer, you will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of procurement practice, asset management, device configuration, and supplier engagement. You will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure that ICT equipment and services are delivered in line with corporate policies, financial regulations, and strategic ICT standards.
Main ResponsibilitiesSome of your responsibilities will include,
- Procurement & Deployment: Manage the procurement and contract renewals, configuration and deployment of ICT equipment in line with corporate policies, including liaising with suppliers and coordinating new starter and refresh programs
- Asset Management: Maintain accurate ICT asset records throughout their lifecycle, ensuring secure handling, compliance with WEEE and data protocols, and regular audits.
- Contract & Compliance Support: Oversee the ICT contract register and ensure compliance through usage reporting and software licensing management.
- Financial & Administrative Duties: Process orders and invoices accurately while supporting procurement and asset management administration.
- Advisory & Support: Provide expert procurement advice and contribute to the continuous improvement of related procedures.
We’re looking for you to:
- Have experience in ICT procurement or asset management.
- Understand ICT hardware, software, and services and can advise others on suitable options.
- Be familiar with software licensing and corporate ICT standards.
- Be able to use ICT tools to support procurement, deployment, finance, and asset tracking.
- Be organised, detail-focused, and able to manage their workload effectively.
- Communicate clearly and works well with others.
- Be able to work independently and take initiative.
- Deliver great customer service and adapts to changing needs.

Salary range
- £27,254 - £30,024 per year
