About the role

This role plays a key part in supporting the successful implementation of a new Adult Social Care system, ensuring it meets the needs of service users and aligns with organisational objectives. You will work closely with stakeholders across the social care teams to facilitate a smooth transition, provide technical and operational guidance, and help embed best practices.

In addition to the new system implementation, the role will also provide ongoing support for other existing social care systems, ensuring they remain effective, reliable, and responsive to changing requirements. This includes troubleshooting, user support, and contributing to system enhancements that improve service delivery and outcomes for adults in care.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting the Implementation of a New Adult Social Care System
    You will play an active role in the rollout of a new Adult Social Care system, assisting with configuration, testing, and user acceptance activities to ensure the system meets operational and statutory requirements.

  • Providing Support for Existing Social Care Systems
    Alongside the implementation work, you will help maintain and support current social care systems, resolving issues, responding to user queries, and contributing to system improvements.

  • Working Closely with the Senior Applications Officer and Project Team
    You will collaborate with the Senior Applications Officer and the wider project team to support the development and delivery of the new system. This includes preparing documentation, assisting with data migration, coordinating training materials, and ensuring smooth communication between technical teams and end-users.

  • Contributing to Continuous Improvement
    Your input will help identify opportunities to enhance processes and system functionality, ensuring that social care teams have the tools they need to deliver high-quality services.

About you

  • Technical Skills

    • Experience supporting or implementing IT systems, ideally within social care or similar environments.
    • Understanding of system configuration, data quality, and testing processes.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve application issues effectively.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving

    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyse processes.
    • Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Communication and Collaboration

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Ability to work collaboratively within a project team and support senior colleagues.
  • Organisational Skills

    • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Desirable

    • Knowledge of Adult Social Care processes and statutory requirements.
    • Experience with social care systems or similar case management platforms.
