Housekeeper Operative
Help us care for some of Weston-super-Mare’s most valued public spaces.
Weston-super-Mare Town Council is recruiting motivated and reliable individuals to join our newly appointed Cleaning and Housekeeping Team as Housekeeper Operatives.
These are important frontline roles helping us maintain our public buildings and community spaces to the highest possible standard for residents, visitors and staff.
You will work across a variety of sites including:
-Weston Museum
-Old Town Quarry
-Council Offices at 32 Waterloo Street
We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, have excellent attention to detail and can work both independently and as part of a team.
Transferable skills and a positive attitude are highly valued and we welcome applications from candidates with experience from a wide range of sectors.
About the Roles
These are varied and rewarding positions where you will help ensure Council buildings and public spaces remain clean, safe, welcoming and well maintained for the community.
Duties across the roles may include:
-Cleaning public areas, offices and facilities
-Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors
-Maintaining toilets and welfare areas
-Replenishing supplies
-Waste removal and recycling
-Supporting hygiene and health & safety standards
-Working across multiple Council sites
