Health Safeguarding Lead MACPT WMF3196e

Job description

Location: South Lakeland House, Kendal
Contract Type: Fixed term for 2 years

Who we are looking for…

We are seeking a Health Safeguarding Lead to join our Multi-Agency Child Protection Team (MACPT), a key initiative supporting the Government's Social Care Reforms and Families First Partnership Programme. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a new way of working and ensure that health expertise is embedded at the heart of child protection practice.

As the lead health practitioner within MACPT, you will provide specialist safeguarding advice, support multi-agency decision-making, strengthen health partnerships, and help ensure children at risk of significant harm receive timely and coordinated support. You will work closely with social care, police, education and health colleagues to improve outcomes for children and families.

We are looking for a registered health professional with significant safeguarding and child protection experience, strong partnership working skills, and the ability to influence practice across complex systems.

This is funded through the Social Care Reform Programme and provides an opportunity to test and evaluate the impact of a dedicated health safeguarding function within the new MACPT model.

Join us and help shape the future of multi-agency child protection.
