In this role, you’ll be at the heart of what makes our home feel safe and comfortable. You’ll carry out repairs, maintenance and decoration, complete essential safety checks, and help make sure our building and grounds are always in top condition.

We’re looking for someone who can commit to the core weekly hours, but who’s also flexible enough to meet the needs of the home when things change.

    You will:

    • Carry out everyday repairs, maintenance tasks and decoration to a high standard
    • Complete equipment and safety checks to ensure full health & safety compliance
    • Receive and safely store equipment and supplies in line with COSHH guidance
    • Keep accurate records for all maintenance, service checks and safety documentation
    • Test fire systems and support regular fire evacuation drills
    • Maintain both indoor and outdoor areas—including gardens—to keep the home safe and welcoming
    • Secure all materials and equipment in line with risk assessments
    • Encourage and motivate young people to take pride in their home environment
    • Work closely with the Bursar and Registered Manager, and liaise with external contractors where needed
    The Ideal Candidate

    You’ll be a great fit if you're:

    • A team player with a flexible, can‑do attitude
    • Experienced in premises maintenance or similar hands‑on roles
    • Detail‑focused and proud of delivering high‑quality work
    • Willing to attend training and develop your skills

Interviews will be held week commencing 23rd March.
