The starting salary for this role is £24,000 per annum +5% employer pension contribution based on a 28 hour working week.

About the Organisation
Surrey Community Action is a purpose-led, not-for-profit organisation working to strengthen Surrey’s communities and voluntary sector.
We support charities and community groups through advocacy, representation, information and advice, while delivering projects that give people facing difficult circumstances a helping hand.
About the Role
This is a practical, people-focused role where you’ll work with members of the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller community who may be experiencing difficulties or struggling to access services.
You’ll provide clear, reliable information and guidance, helping people navigate issues such as housing, benefits and health. You’ll build trusting relationships, understand individual circumstances and work alongside other organisations to help people get the support they need.
You’ll also play an important role in improving understanding between the communities you support and local services, helping to make sure people’s needs are heard and that they can access appropriate support.
The role involves working across Surrey, so you’ll need to be comfortable working in community settings and travelling to meet people where appropriate.
We’re looking for someone who combines excellent communication skills with practical advice experience and a genuine commitment to supporting people.
Experience of working with Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities would be valuable, but it is not essential. An openness to learning, listening and developing your understanding is just as important.

Salary range
- £24,000 - £30,000 per year
