To apply, you must meet at least one of the following local eligibility criteria:

• Currently live in the Redcar and Cleveland borough or wider Tees Valley area, including Middlesbrough, Stockton-on-Tees, Hartlepool or Darlington; or
• Have previously lived in Redcar and Cleveland or the wider Tees Valley for at least five years; or
• Have studied at a secondary or further education establishment in Redcar and Cleveland or the wider Tees Valley; or
• Be a Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council care leaver.

You must also:

• Have achieved a minimum 2:2 undergraduate degree by August 2027; and
• Have the right to work in the UK for the full two-year programme. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship.

We’re working with the Local Government Association, which is managing applications for the programme.
