Former Tenant Arrears Recovery Administrator

The Income Recovery team are looking to recruit one permanent full time Former Tenant Arrears Recovery Administrator. This post is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to progress in an exciting career within the Housing Service.
As a Former Tenant Arrears Recovery Administrator you will be responsible for collection of former tenant arrears from a caseload of your own accounts as well as dealing with newly terminated tenancies; this is to be done predominantly via telephone but will also include letters. You must be comfortable in communicating with tenants through various contact mediums (including face-to-face) and strike the balance between enforcement and support. The successful candidate will be offered a comprehensive training package upon appointment.
The successful candidate will have:
- Good numeracy and written skills
- An ability to build and maintain relationships with former tenants, colleagues and third parties
- An ability to have difficult conversations with former tenants in respect of money and have a firm but fair approach to all unpaid rent
- An ability to interpret and follow policies and procedures
- An ability to learn and understand IT applications

You will be required to work as part of a rota, between the hours of 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
A background in Income Recovery / Housing is not essential.

Salary range
