Financial Accountant x3

Contract: Permanent

Location: Lynton House

An excellent opportunity has arisen within the London Borough of Redbridge for three Financial Accountants. You will provide accounting and control support for the whole organisation and will take an operational lead on specific areas of financial accounting while supporting other elements.

Alongside the broader role, you will act as the Council’s lead technical accounting specialist for designated elements of financial accounting including one or more of:

• Collection Fund
• Leasing
• Fixed Assets (Asset Register)
• VAT

Key Activities:

• Advising on elements of the Council’s financial accounting and statement of accounts
• Supporting the delivery of the wider aspects of the closure of accounts.
• Support the co-ordination of the production of the Council’s Statement of Accounts.

To be successful in this role you will need to:

• Be CCAB or CIMA qualified or similar demonstrable experience at a similar level.
• Have ongoing evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
• Have significant experience of financial management in a large and complex organisation.
