An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Public Protection Service in Sefton. A busy and vibrant department undertaking statutory and regulatory functions across Licensing, Environmental Health, and Trading Standards.

We are looking for a forward thinking, experienced and enthusiastic Officer to undertake all the aspects of Taxi Licensing Enforcement,

You will be expected to assist the Senior Enforcement Officer in the smooth and efficient delivery of the service. You will undertake inspections to ensure that all Hackney Carriage and Private Hire licensable activities are undertaken in compliance with relevant legislation. Investigate breaches of relevant legislation and appeals against refusal to grant a licence or the revocation of licences, including gathering of evidence, interviewing of suspects and where necessary giving evidence in any related court proceedings (Civil & Criminal). Some shift work will also be required.
