We are recruiting a Domestic Assistant at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Location: Beatrice Webb Residential Home

We pay an attractive salary of £9,382 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

Beatrice Webb Residential Home is looking for a Domestic Assistant to work evening shifts working in the kitchen preparing and serving refreshments, snacks & meals. Experience of working in a care environment and knowledge of COSHH, Food Safety Act and Health and Safety would be beneficial although not essential.

You must have knowledge of the principles that underpin quality care e.g. dignity, choice etc. Adopt a person-centred approach and be courteous and responsive to the needs of individuals. Working hours will include weekends and bank holidays. There will be opportunities to work additional hours covering cleaning and laundry services.

Week 1: Three shifts totalling 12 hours.
Week 2: Four shifts totalling 16 hours.
All shifts run from 4pm to 8pm.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • Knowledge of principles that underpin quality care, e.g. dignity, choice, etc.
  • Experience of working as part of a team.
  • The ability to work flexibly including weekends, bank holidays and sleep in duties.
