Harborough District Council is looking for a proactive and skilled Digital Support and Development Officer to help us deliver outstanding digital services to our residents, businesses, and partners. If you’re passionate about improving online customer journeys, supporting key digital systems, and helping a council continuously modernise, we’d love to hear from you.

Working within our ICT & Transformation Team, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our website, intranet, CXM and other digital platforms are well managed‑managed, up to date, secure, and easy to use.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys technical problem-solving‑solving, digital content delivery, and working collaboratively across multiple services.

As our Digital Support and Development Officer, you will:

  • Manage system administration for the Council’s web Content Management System (CMS), intranet, Docusign, Liberty spark and associated digital tools
  • Support colleagues across the organisation in creating high-‑quality online content and service pages
  • Identify and implement digital improvements, including web-based solu‑based solutions that integrate with systems such as CXM and payment platforms
  • Analyse and rationalise information to support efficient electronic service delivery
  • Provide third line‑line support for existing applications and contribute to technical design specifications
  • Keep up to date with trends in local government digital delivery and lead/assist on digital projects
  • Help identify processes suitable for digitisation and assess feasibility
  • Maintain and enhance key corporate systems including Netcall, Jadu, and the Council’s Intranet, ensuring they are secure, supported, and performing effectively
  • Support service integrations to meet business needs, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Use business process mapping and analysis to improve customer access to online services

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in digital content management or system administration
  • Understands CMS platforms, website structure, accessibility and usability
  • Enjoys working collaboratively with services and stakeholders
  • Has strong analytical and problem-‑solving skills
  • Can manage competing priorities and deliver high-‑quality digital improvements
  • Is adaptable, proactive, and committed to excellent customer service
