    The Role:

    • As the Leaving Care Deputy Team Manager, you will need a robust understanding of young people’s whole journey through the care system. You will need to have the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners involved in Housing, Education, Employment and Health and be able to advocate for our young people so to secure the access to services that they need
    • The Deputy Team Manager will fully support the Team Manager in overseeing pathway planning for young people to ensure that they have equal opportunities to study, to work and to live in high quality accommodation which meets their needs
    • You will have the drive and passion to deliver excellent services and improve outcomes to ensure a positive difference and brighter future for our children and young people
    • As a Deputy Team Manager you will have strong experience within Looked after Children and Leaving Care. You will also have sound knowledge and understanding of all children’s legislation, particularly statutory guidance and processes
    • You will work alongside your Team Manager to embed a high-performance culture by supporting your team to continually develop their skills so they can achieve the best outcomes. Through regular reflective supervision with your team, you’ll champion their personal and professional growth and health and wellbeing, ensuring an inclusive approach
    • This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service and up to date registration with Social Work England as a qualified Social Worker
