Executive Leadership: Drive Service Redesign & Anti-Racist Practice in Hackney Are you a strategic and operational Senior Social Care Manager ready to step into a newly created post and lead the implementation of a major service redesign?

The Role: Operational & Strategic Leadership

As Deputy Head of Service – Mental Health , you will be central to making our new Integrated Mental Health Service (IMHS) pathways work in practice. The IMHS brings together social care and health colleagues in partnership with East London Foundation Trust (ELFT).

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing operational leadership to embed the new IMHS structure and ensuring high-quality, legally compliant decision-making.
  • Driving strong partnership working within the integrated health and social care environment.
  • Balancing operational delivery with strategic thinking, including redesigning services in the context of financial challenge.
  • Championing a culture of continuous improvement and a strengths-based, anti-racist approach.
  • Overseeing the effectiveness of the service pathways, including Initial Response, Longer-term Support, and the AMHP Service .

About You: Strategic Manager & Qualified Social Worker

We seek a senior manager who leads by example, with a commitment to intersectionality and anti-racism.

You must bring:

A qualified social worker status with a valid professional registration.

A strong foundation in social care practice and proven experience working in integrated health and social care environments.

In-depth knowledge of key legislation – particularly the Care Act, Mental Health Act, and Mental
