Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Permanent

Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Fixed Term for 6 Months

We are looking for an individual who has the skills, ability, attitude and motivation to deliver a high class, quality service, within our busy Corporate Premises.

Working with colleagues, members of the public, contractors, external companies, health and safety and public sector bodies to ensure we provide a welcoming, professional and safe environment for all people that enter our buildings.

This is a full time, on both permanent and fixed term basis, working 37 hours per week. You’ll be expected to work on rotating shifts between 07:00-18:30 with the flexibility to work until 9pm every third week. Depending on the needs of the service, you may need to work occasional weekends. You’ll be based between City Hall and Town Hall.

What you’ll be doing

As a customer service and access officer you’ll maintain the security and safety of City Hall and occupants and support evacuation procedures when required. In addition, you’ll be providing exemplary, face-to-face, telephone and email customer service in a high-profile environment.

You’ll efficiently and effectively operate meeting room AV equipment, a range of I.T systems and relevant computer system databases including Content management systems ensuring that all information entered and retrieved is up to date. You’ll also manage room bookings using information in the booking system and other requests assists with rooms and facilities being set up appropriately.

What you’ll need

The ideal candidate will have good literacy and numeracy skills to undertake accurate processing of documentation and maintenance of records. As a confident individual, you’ll be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels using interpersonal skills. You’ll be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to think on your feet and able to respond to emergency situations. As an enthusiastic and motivated person, you’ll be passionate about creating a positive working environment.
