Job Introduction

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen at North Herts Council for a Cultural Learning Apprentice to join the team at North Hertfordshire Museum. This entry-level role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about museums, learning and working with the public. Working closely with the Education Officer, you will support the delivery of engaging education sessions, toddler activities and holiday workshops, while developing practical skills and experience in a museum environment.

The Experience you will bring

We're looking for a friendly and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with people and wants to develop their skills through an apprenticeship. You'll have good communication and organisational skills, be comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience of working with the public, children or people with disabilities is desirable, as is an interest in administration, social media, Canva or other creative tools. Most importantly, you'll be keen to learn and make a positive contribution to the team and community.

As part of your employment, you will study for and complete a Cultural Learning & Participation Officer Level 3 Apprenticeship.
