The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority is looking to recruit a Corporate Performance Officer to help shape the way performance is managed across the organisation. Working in the Corporate Performance Team and with a mix of collaborative working and data skills, you will play an important role in helping to successfully embed a new approach to performance and to support the Mayoral Combined Authority in its journey to Established Authority Status.
What you’ll be doing
Your role will be key to supporting the MCA in reaching its performance maturity goals, specifically:
- Building performance data and reporting foundations
- Supporting the implementation of a performance assurance business rhythm
- Enabling scrutiny, insight and learning and evidencing impact
What you’ll bring
As the successful candidate you will be highly numerate with the ability to interpret data, you’ll be organised and have experience working in a cross-organisational role. You’ll also be a champion for a positive, transparent and supportive performance culture that focusses on learning. As part of a small team you’ll be very visible and seen as a go-to person for day to day advice and support on corporate performance management.

The salary for this role is £42,839 - £46,142. This is the full-time equivalent salary, and will be pro-rata for part-time. We advertise salary ranges for job roles, with new appointments for external candidates typically starting at the lowest salary point. In exceptional cases, where higher skill levels or experience are applicable, the salary point may be adjusted to secure the best candidate. This approach allows for potential year-on-year salary increases, offering progression and appropriate rewards to employees.
