We are recruiting a Cook in Charge at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 25
Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time, Term Time Only
Location: Ysgol Gymraeg Cwm Gwyddon

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organization.

We pay an attractive salary of £16,558 - £17,962 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

Provide a catering service in local authority establishments.

Supervise others in the workplace, working within the guidelines set out by Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Supervising to ensure correct performance standards are achieved.

Food to be cooked in accordance with recipe manual.

Food costs are at the required target figures.

Keep full and accurate records, ensure a high level of meal uptake.

Ensure targets are set in PDR's are meet. Control all work methods and procedures carried out in the catering unit as detailed in various work manuals.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • Level 2 in Food Safety.
  • Ability to work precisely and effectively under pressure and to deadlines and have a strong sense of purpose.
  • Experience of large scale catering.
