Tunbridge Wells Borough Council is looking for a Contracts Officer to provide support to our partnership with Maidstone and Tonbridge & Malling Borough Councils. You will be assisting with the development of a system to ensure oversight over all key contracts in the partnership, and promote corporate guidance on how to manage contracts.

You’ll also be assisting in the development and delivery of training for contract managers, ensuring that you stay up to date with best practice and can apply this to the continuous improvement of training materials and guidance documents.

The role will also be tasked with producing regular reports on contract management compliance, highlighting areas for concern and noting ‘Lessons Learned’ to aid in our aim of continuous improvement and development of our processes.

This role will require a blended working approach, with a mix of remote working and office days. Your initial induction will be undertaken in the office, and the rest of your on-boarding will follow this blended approach. The mix will vary in line with the requirements of the organisation and workloads. This will require you to be self-sufficient and driven in order to achieve outcomes which are set on a weekly basis.
