    £45,750 - £49,056 per annum

    About The Role

The Council is looking for an enthusiastic and efficient Commissioning Officer to embed and performance manage its Independent Living Support Service (Domiciliary Care) Framework Agreement. This is important portfolio, as the delivery of high-quality care and support enables Newham's residents to maintain their independence and quality of life in their own home. It is also an exciting portfolio, as the service model has changed - becoming neighbourhood-based; with a focus on enabling, outcome focused care and the delivery of a Trusted Assessor function.

    About You

You should have experience in all aspects of the commissioning cycle and be able to critically appraise service delivery to develop innovative local solutions.

You must be able to demonstrate experience of successfully commissioning excellent services and, given the specialised nature of the portfolio area, expert knowledge of Health and Adult Social Care and service delivery (ideally including Domiciliary Care).

Your excellent communication skills will be essential to your success in your ability to work as part of the team and develop effective working relationships.

You will have the ability to work in partnership with other colleagues across the Council, Health partners, Providers, residents and other stakeholders to re-design services and ensure that outcomes are achieved. The post holder will be required to write and present detailed and well-reasoned reports and business cases for the Adult Social Care Departmental Management Team and other senior boards.
