    Making A Difference as a Commissioning Officer in the Integrated Commissioning Team

    We have a vacancy for a highly motivated individual who wants to play a key role in responding to the challenges and opportunities facing Adult Social Care with a specific focus on Older People’s Services.

    As a Commissioning Officer you will be responsible for ensuring evidence-based, high-quality, and cost-effective commissioning of services in line with the priorities set in the St Helens Adult Social Care Strategy and St Helens ICB strategies, with a particular focus on services for Older People including Nursing & Residential Care services.

    You will be a strong leader and team player who has a high level of intellectual rigor, negotiation, and motivational skills and is flexible and adaptable to change. Experience in commissioning services for children is advantageous. In this key role, you will join an Integrated Health and Social Care environment and be expected to work collaboratively with wider Council departments and partners.

    The successful candidate should be educated to Degree level and/or have experience of working in a Commissioning role.

    Interviews for this exciting opportunity are expected to take place during January 2026.
