10.00 Working Hours – All Year

We are seeking a reliable, dedicated Cleaner to join our friendly primary school team. This role is essential in ensuring our school provides a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our pupils and staff.

Working hours are 7:00am - 9:00am, Monday to Friday during term time, with consolidated hours to be worked during school holiday periods.

Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices and communal areas
Maintaining toilets and hygiene facilities to a high standard
Vacuuming, mopping and dusting
Emptying bins and replenishing supplies
Ensuring cleaning standards meet health, safety and safeguarding requirements

Standards & Expectations:
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times
Follow school cleaning schedules and health & safety procedures
Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and responsibly
Support infection control procedures where required
Work efficiently and independently

Important Information About the Environment:
As a primary school, and particularly one supporting children with a range of additional, complex needs, the nature of cleaning may sometimes include:
Higher levels of general classroom mess (paint, craft materials, food spillages)
Occasional bodily fluid clean-up (full training and protective equipment provided)
Supporting enhanced hygiene routines
Candidates must be comfortable working in this environment and understand the importance of discretion, patience, and safeguarding.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Be dependable and punctual
Take pride in maintaining high standards
Be able to work independently
Have previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential)
Be committed to safeguarding children
The closing date for this position is 25th March 2026.
An enhanced DBS check will be required.
