Salary: Grade A - £24,413 per year pro rata, £12.65 per hour

Salary for part time working £9,897.16 per year

Hours: 15 hours per week, 6am to 9am Monday to Friday

Location: Ilkeston Town Hall (or other Council buildings)

We’re looking for a dedicated Cleaner to join our friendly team. This is a rota-based position (including some evenings and weekends), offering both flexibility and variety in your schedule.

What You’ll Do

You’ll play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across:

  • Office spaces
  • Public areas
  • Toilets and washrooms

Your responsibilities will include general cleaning duties, using equipment and machinery as required, and ensuring all areas are kept spotless, hygienic, and welcoming.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in general cleaning (preferred)
  • A positive, team-focused attitude
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Confidence to work independently when needed
  • Physically able to lift and move equipment
