The job

Out on the move. Helping people. Keeping Hart moving.

Looking for a role where no two days feel the same?

You don’t need enforcement experience; if you’re calm, fair, observant and good with people, we’ll help you build the rest.

As a Parking Civil Enforcement Officer, you’ll help keep Hart’s car parks safe, accessible and welcoming by supporting visitors, spotting issues, checking equipment and taking fair enforcement action when needed.

Full training is provided, so this is a great opportunity for someone with the right attitude who is ready to learn.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Patrol council car parks on foot and help keep them safe, clean and accessible
  • Support the public with clear, calm and helpful communication
  • Issue Penalty Charge Notices where appropriate
  • Report faults, hazards and anything that needs attention

The applicant

This could suit someone from retail, hospitality, customer service, security, delivery, facilities or community work.

If you can stay professional under pressure, work independently and treat people fairly, we’d like to hear from you.

You will need to:

  • Be comfortable working outdoors, on foot and often on your own
  • Communicate with confidence, tact and common sense
  • Hold a full UK driving licence

Interviews are scheduled to be held on site at Hart District Council Offices.
