
Chef Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our in-house Catering Department for a Chef Manager to co-ordinate all aspects of the food service.
A high standard of quality and service will be expected by St Mary’s.
We operate a cashless catering system; therefore, the successful applicant will be required to have some IT experience. The Chef Manager will be responsible for the smooth running of our two school kitchens which are housed in separate blocks and produce meals to support our school community of approximately 1400 students.
Responsibilities will include stock control, financial management, training, staff management and cooking.
The successful candidate will:
- Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in the catering industry with leadership experience within a catering or hospitality setting
- Have NVQ Level 3 in Catering or City & Guilds 706/2 and Level 3 Award in Food Safety in Catering
- Have experience of menu design, food costing and budgetary controls.
- Have the ability to deliver a high standard of quality and service including the ability to coordinate and deliver hospitality and event catering.
