About the team

The IT Service Management team sits at the heart of delivering reliable, high-performing IT services, driving stability while continuously improving how technology supports the organisation. Bringing together expertise across Change, Asset, Configuration, Incident and Problem Management, the team works in close partnership with IT colleagues, stakeholders and suppliers to ensure services are efficient, resilient, and fit for the future.

About the role

In this pivotal role, you’ll take the lead in coordinating IT change management while ensuring our asset and configuration data is accurate, reliable, and adds real value to the organisation.

  • Own and schedule IT changes end-to-end, helping to minimise risk and ensure smooth delivery with minimal disruption to services
  • Lead and facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, working with a wide range of stakeholders to support informed decision-making
  • Take responsibility for maintaining high-quality asset and configuration data, ensuring systems are accurate and up to date
  • Champion data integrity by leading audits and proactively identifying improvements
  • Turn data into insight by producing reports and dashboards that highlight trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Drive continuous improvement across processes, shaping how Change and Asset Management evolves in line with ITIL best practice
  • Build strong working relationships across IT, the wider organisation, and external suppliers to support effective service delivery

You will also have the opportunity to broaden your experience by supporting Incident and Problem Management activities when needed, giving you exposure to the wider IT service landscape.

About you

Essential:

  • Experience in ITIL-aligned IT Service Management
  • Experience in Change and Asset/Configuration Management
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Excellent organisation and stakeholder management skills

Desirable:

  • ITIL qualification
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar tools
  • Public sector experience

This role offers the opportunity to shape processes, drive service improvements, and contribute to strategic decision-making.
