    About the Role
    We are seeking a dedicated Child Exploitation Practitioner to join our Specialist Safeguarding team. This role is integral to supporting and safeguarding children and families through a multi-agency approach. You will manage complex cases, deliver evidence-based interventions, and contribute to strategic initiatives that protect vulnerable children, focusing on children that are exploited or vulnerable to.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Manage a caseload of complex children and young people.
    • working alongside children who are/have experienced exploitation.
    • Provide specialist knowledge around risk outside the home and represent the service in developing key provisions and local strategies.
    • Deliver high-quality assessments, purposeful interventions, and written reports.
    • Offer consultation, coaching, and mentoring.
    • Support team development
    • Ensure compliance with the Children Act 1989 & 2004 and other relevant legislation.
    • Work flexibly, including outside normal office hours, and travel across the borough and nationally as required.

    Person Specification
    Qualifications:
    • GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
    • Relevant practice qualification in childcare, education, health, or social care (e.g., NVQ Level 3 equivalent or above).
    Experience:
    • Working with children, young people, and families, including systemic assessments and outcome-focused plans.
    • Multi-agency partnership working.
    • Delivering meaningful support to children and families, specifically those experienced or vulnerable to risk outside the home.
    • Preparing reports and assessments.
    Skills & Attributes:
    • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
    • Ability to manage complex caseloads and deliver evidence-based interventions.
    • Knowledge of child development, safeguarding practices and child exploitation.
    • Competence in using management information systems and maintaining accurate records.
    • Cultural sensitivity and commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
