About the Position

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Home Care Domiciliary Service as a Home Care Worker. You will play a vital role in supporting individuals living with complex health needs, helping them lead full and meaningful lives. This position involves delivering high-quality care in line with CIW Standards and Regulations, promoting independence, dignity, and choice.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred care and support to service users, respecting privacy, dignity, and rights.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, nutrition, medication administration, and mobility support.
  • Promote independence and positive well-being for individuals with complex needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of care delivered and contribute to assessments and reports.
  • Work collaboratively with health professionals and family members to deliver holistic care.
  • Adhere to Council policies, safeguarding principles, and data protection requirements.
  • Participate in mandatory training, supervision, and continuous professional development.

Essential Requirements

  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Care or willingness to undertake qualification.
  • Registration (or willingness to register) with Social Care Wales.
  • Understanding of core care values: privacy, dignity, rights, and choice.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Flexible approach to duties and ability to work in challenging situations.

Desirable

  • Experience in a social or health care setting.
  • Knowledge of CIW Standards and Regulations.
  • Manual Handling Passport.

Additional Information

  • Enhanced DBS required.
  • Access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential.
  • Welsh language skills Level 0 required (training available).

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. A comprehensive

pre-employment screening process will be undertaken which will include an Enhanced Disclosure with Adult Barred List.
