About the Position
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Home Care Domiciliary Service as a Home Care Worker. You will play a vital role in supporting individuals living with complex health needs, helping them lead full and meaningful lives. This position involves delivering high-quality care in line with CIW Standards and Regulations, promoting independence, dignity, and choice.
Principal Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care and support to service users, respecting privacy, dignity, and rights.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, nutrition, medication administration, and mobility support.
- Promote independence and positive well-being for individuals with complex needs.
- Maintain accurate records of care delivered and contribute to assessments and reports.
- Work collaboratively with health professionals and family members to deliver holistic care.
- Adhere to Council policies, safeguarding principles, and data protection requirements.
- Participate in mandatory training, supervision, and continuous professional development.
Essential Requirements
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Care or willingness to undertake qualification.
- Registration (or willingness to register) with Social Care Wales.
- Understanding of core care values: privacy, dignity, rights, and choice.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Flexible approach to duties and ability to work in challenging situations.
Desirable
- Experience in a social or health care setting.
- Knowledge of CIW Standards and Regulations.
- Manual Handling Passport.
Additional Information
- Enhanced DBS required.
- Access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential.
- Welsh language skills Level 0 required (training available).
