
Care Home Contracts Officer
As part of the Council’s wider Commercial function, you’ll work within a small team of Contract Managers and Contract Officers. Pur team oversees the management of contracts for 850+ residential and nursing care homes, which in turn deliver Council funded care services to over 3600 adults.
The Council is about to reprocure its care home contracts, and about to change both its finance system and social care case management system. So you’ll be joining at a time of change, with opportunities to shape systems and processes.
Working primarily from the Council’s offices at Staffordshire Place, Stafford (or a hybrid of office working and smart working from home or other locations), you’ll need to work closely with internal functions such as commissioning, brokerage, finance and quality assurance teams, with external stakeholders, and particularly with external care providers.
Main ResponsibilitiesYou’ll:
- help to populate and issue contract documentation;
- maintain information systems about care homes and the residents they support;
- run reports and use data to good effect;
- support processes around making contract variations and contract novations;
- handle enquiries from care homes, internal teams and partner organisations;
- support the wider contract management functions of the team.
You'll have:
- education to a level 3 standard or equivalent relevant experience;
- experience of working in a social care and/or commissioning organisation
- analytical and numerical skills
- excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
- computer literacy skills
- the ability to pay close attention to detail and accuracy

Salary range
- £27,254 - £30,024 per year
