You will work within the Local Authority DesignatedOfficer (LADO) team within the Trust which gives advice and guidance toemployers, organisations and other individuals who have concerns about thebehaviour of an adult who works with children and young people.

We monitor the progress of cases to ensure that they aredealt with as quickly as possible and are consistent with a thorough and fairprocess.

We organise and support LADO meetings where concerns areregarding a person in a position of trust.

Key tasks

  • Administering the process around LADO referrals, ensuring timescales are adhered to.
  • Supporting LADO strategy meeting activities, including supporting meetings and producing meeting outputs.
  • To complete Ofsted and CASS checks as and when received.
  • Moving meetings within timescales, informing customers, and producing and sending invites of new meeting details, and updating team and calendars.
  • To support the team in producing data for FOI / annual report.
  • Assist with the administration of Freedom of Information requests received by LADO.
  • To deal with and respond timely to queries from internal and external customers.
  • To complete all post-planning tasks around the meeting, including distribution and updating of on case-management systems.
  • Updating and maintaining records on internal systems.

You will be a ‘can-do' person, who is passionate about high quality service delivery and performance. You will be able to work effectively within a dedicated team environment, be customer focused and able to deliver the role with a flexible approach.

Key skills we will be looking for in your personal statement include:

  • Attention to detail with an ability to work accurately e.g. literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to work on own initiative with a pro-active approach to all tasks to ensure business objectives are met
  • An ability to work flexibly as part of a diverse team environment, providing cover when needed to ensure continuity of service provision, and the ability to multi-task to cover other roles within the team
  • Good organisation skills with good understanding of outputs of meetings.
  • Experience of dealing with several conflicting and changing priorities effectively to achieve business objectives

This is a hybrid role based in Birmingham so you must reside within a suitable commutable distance around Birmingham and have the correct right-to-work documents to work in the UK. Sadly, we do not support those who require sponsorship. Teams are citywide, work on a hybrid basis, and are based at One Avenue Road.
