Our brand-new Residential Children’s Home will deliver short-term respite for children and young people on the edge of care, alongside outreach support for families. With dedicated therapeutic support, the home will provide meaningful interventions aimed at preventing family breakdown. We’re on the lookout for a dynamic Deputy Manager to help shape this innovative provision and make a lasting impact.
The home has recently been refurbished to a very high standard and is going through Ofsted Registration. We have partnered with an internationally respected psychologist to develop our trauma informed model and training. It is a really exciting time to join this new team and drive change across the authority.
You will support the Registered Manager to manage, develop and lead the Children’s Home and deliver the highest levels of care and support to our children and young people in. You will also play a key role in developing partnerships and co-ordinating activity with statutory and voluntary sector partners, to ensure a comprehensive short-break and outreach offer to families.

What we want from you:
- A committed professional who places children at the heart of their practice
- NVQ Level 5 Leadership & Management for children’s residential childcare or the willingness to complete this
- Within the last 5 years, worked for at least 2 years in a position relevant to the residential care of children.
- Worked for at least one year in a role requiring the supervision and management of staff
- Excellent knowledge of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards.

Salary range
- £40,476 - £44,711 per year
