About the team

We have exciting opportunity at Borehamwood and Cranborne Place Day Services. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and committed individual to join our management team. In this role, you will be working across two services and in a highly supportive team, in which your motivation and strategic planning ability will be vital. We support adults with learning disabilities and provide experiences and opportunities designed in collaboration with the people we support with a can-do attitude, building positive relationships, maintaining or improving their independence and developing a sense of belonging. Our team is collaborative, supportive, and committed to continuous improvement. We value each member’s contribution and encourage innovation in how we deliver care working alongside the people we support.

About the role

The Day Service Assistant Locality Manager will help lead the team to ensure we provide a high-quality day opportunities and work placements to the people we support. They will support the Deputy Locality Manager to achieve this, through robust quality monitoring to ensure legal and regulatory compliance, financial stability through effective budgeting and financial management, whilst providing hands on supervision and management.

We are looking for professional, creative, positive and passionate person to help provide support in our Day Services across Hertfordshire.  We are a progressive and aspirational team and wish to provide Therapeutic and purposeful opportunities to those that live within Hertfordshire.

Hertfordshire Day Services offer opportunities for people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, age related conditions, mental health problems and other special needs to live, learn and work with others of all abilities in an atmosphere of mutual care and respect.

About you

We’re looking for someone with energy and drive to help lead our in-house day services through an exciting period of change. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the County Council, using your problem-solving skills and creativity to guide and support your team. Strong communication, IT skills, and the ability to think on your feet are key, along with a willingness to learn and help others grow. If you’re ready to build trust, share ideas, and make a real difference in a dynamic, forward-thinking service, we’d love to hear from you.

Essential:

  • Health and Social Care RQF Level 4 or the ability to meet requirement to complete RQF Level 4 (if not already held)
  • A minimum of 1 year experience working in a social care or related setting (e.g., education or health)
  • A good standard of numeracy, literacy and IT skills
