In this rewarding role, you will:

  • Provide professional supervision and leadership to Community Care Officers.
  • Assess needs and coordinate personalised outcomes for adults.
  • Conduct adult safeguarding investigations and engage in complex decision-making.
  • Promote strengths-based practice, ensuring rights, choice, and control for individuals.
  • Manage risks and uncertainties while maximising independence.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Strong knowledge of adult social care legislation and safeguarding practices.
  • Proven experience in adult social care, particularly with disabilities and mental health.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Exhibits resilience and a positive attitude in challenging situations.
  • Encourages collaboration and teamwork within the community.
  • Is committed to continuous professional development and reflective practice.

At Nottinghamshire County Council, we value our employees and offer:

  • A place to belong: a friendly, inclusive workplace where everyone is valued.
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements to suit your lifestyle.
  • Access to modern technology and resources to support your work.
  • Mileage payments and generous annual leave.
  • An excellent occupational pension scheme to secure your future.
