    About the role

Adult Services sits within the People Directorate at West Northamptonshire Council and supports adults across a range of needs, including community support, learning disability services, hospital discharge, and transitions into adulthood. The focus is on enabling people to live independently, stay safe, and achieve the best possible outcomes.

As an Adult Social Care Worker, you will be part of a supportive team delivering frontline social care. The role involves working directly with individuals, their families, and partner organisations to assess needs, develop support plans, and coordinate services. You will manage your own caseload, respond to changing circumstances including crisis situations, and ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met.

You will be expected to work collaboratively across teams and services, maintaining accurate records and making informed decisions within a structured, legislative framework. The role also includes working flexibly across community settings and contributing to a consistent, person-centred approach across Adult Services.
