Salary: Band: 8,£36,363 - £39,151 p.a. (£21,817 - £23,490 for 22.2 hours)
22.2 hours per week (0.6FTE)- days and hours to be worked to be discussed at interview.
What is the role
The Portsmouth Safeguarding Adults Board (PSAB) is the multi-agency statutory body responsible for ensuring that adults at risk of abuse or neglect are protected and safeguarded within the city.
This role will support the PSAB Manager in ensuring that the PSAB and its subgroups work effectively and will carry out project work on key areas of adult safeguarding. Specific areas of focus for the role include planning, delivering and evaluating training and events, communications, and community engagement. The role will be line managed by the PSAB Manager but will also be accountable to the strategic partners that fund the PSAB.
You will develop and maintain links with community groups and partner organisations and develop methods of consultation and involvement for adults with lived experience. You will work with the communications team and others to produce press releases and campaign materials and support the PSABmanager to raise awareness of adult safeguarding.
Who is the person?
With experience of working in a relevant field, you will be educated to degree level or have an equivalent level of experience. You will have knowledge of adult safeguarding practice, policy and legislation as well as experience of working with people with lived experience and effective partnership working. You will need good organisational and prioritisation skills as well as excellent IT skills and written and verbal communication skills.
