The Council’s Street Care service is responsible for the cleanliness of the whole borough and undertake a range of street cleaning and street care activities to ensure that public spaces across the Borough are maintained to a high environmental quality and so that the Council operates in accordance with code of practice on litter and refuse, thereby helping to provide an attractive and diverse environment, where people feel safe and secure.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to play a key role in helping us achieve improved national standards of cleanliness. Working primarily as part of the Hit-Squad, the successful applicant will be sweeping, cleansing and removing litter / fly-tips / graffiti from the highways, trunk roads (A12) and public areas.
Based at our Freighter House depot in Springfield, the post holder would normally be expected to work the following hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30am – 15:30pm Friday 07:30am to 15:00pmIt should be noted however that some flexibility will be required, including earlier or later starts on occasions.
The successful candidate will be expected to work 37 hours per week and a current full UK driving licence is essential.

We are looking for an experienced Environmental Health Officer to work in the Housing Standards Team to promote good quality housing with high standards of housing management in the private rented sector. With the implementation of new legislation, we are keen to engage with, and build strong working relationships with private landlords, letting and managing agents, and tenants to ensure standards are maintained and improved.
The post holder will be expected to deliver a high standard of regulation within the full remit of the housing standards team and act as a lead officer responsible for ensuring the Council’s statutory duties are fulfilled, including enforcement of the HHSRS and Landlord Licensing. They will be expected to manage a busy caseload and take decisions on prioritisation of work and determination of risk/harm. Making decisions on appropriate regulatory action is a key part of the role, including service of legal notices, issuing civil penalties, taking statements, producing reports and maintaining up to date and accurate case file/files for legal proceedings as and when required.

About the role:
Horsham District Council is looking for a Health and Wellbeing Administrator to join our established Health and Wellbeing team to support the delivery of the Wellbeing Service across the Horsham District. The Wellbeing Service is part of a county-wide programme in West Sussex to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent ill-health within our local communities. The service provides information, advice and signposts local people to services for help and support.
As Health and Wellbeing Administrator, you will act as the first point of contact to the service welcoming people at our Wellbeing Hub reception in Horsham town centre and dealing with enquiries via telephone and email. Cannock Chase Council operate a shared service arrangement with Stafford Borough Council to provide the Building Control service on behalf of both Councils. We are looking for an experienced Building Control Surveyor who is able to cover a whole range of construction projects in addition to assisting with the management of the service.
This post represents an excellent opportunity for an experienced Building Control Surveyor to develop their management and professional skills and to contribute to the future development of the service.
We are looking for for a candidate with the appropriate skills, experience and commitment to join our service. You should be a member of a relevant professional body, such as CABE, CIOB or RICS. You must also be familiar with the regulatory regime for Building Control and you will need to be registered with the Building Safety Regulator as a Class 2 Category A - E Building Inspector.
We have a very strong building control team who are focused on providing an excellent service to our clients. Team members are experienced and registerd to work independently in accordance with their level of competencty. The team includes well resourced and dedicated administrative support. You will work closely with the other Principal BCS to manage the team and to help further improve the service for a successful future. Whilst being supported by the Building Control &amp; Climate Change Manager, the position will provide autonomy to directly manage and influence the manner in which the service is delivered.
You will be responsible for directly managing a section of the team to ensure customer requirements and performance targets are met. In addition you will take a leading role in more complex projects.
You will be an excellent communicator who is able to supervise and develop others within the Building Control Team e.g. trainees, other registered building inspectors.
You should have the drive and desire to embrace new ways of working to ensure ongoing service improvements and innovation.

Systems Control Officer - Grade 6 - £38,058 - £41,442pa (Hybrid) About Us Grade 6 - £38,058 - £41,442pa The Corporate Business Systems Team at oneSource manage Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and Civica Income Management/CivicaPay systems for the London Boroughs of Havering and Newham. Oracle Fusion manages key business functions for HR, Payroll, Finance and Procurement. Civica Income Management processes card payments and income distribution from various sources. Our Team are expected to ensure the availability of the systems we administer and offer support to staff in their use of them. We are tasked with maintaining the integrity of the data within the systems and ensure that we work within a control framework that meets both internal and external audit requirements. About the Job You will be the first port of call for users when adding/amending/disabling access and deal with technical issues and queries raised by them. You will be working alongside a small team of System Control Officers to carry out this work. Queries will be received through IT service management (ITSM) software, where requests and incidents will be assigned to you. Additionally, you will be allocated regular tasks, carried out to ensure smooth running of our systems and to complete work with critical deadlines. Both systems we manage are complex, particularly our Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP system, which includes a wide range of applications. The variety of tasks carried out involves collaborating with various teams, making the work diverse and engaging. You will receive training to broadly cover most areas and resolve problems by analysing issues and finding appropriate solutions. You may need to escalate issues and work with third-party service providers where problems cannot be resolved internally. About You We are seeking an individual who is able to handle complex technical queries and ideally have a background in supporting systems and their controls. Having previous admin experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP or Civica Income Management/CivicaPay would also be desirable.&nbsp; You will excel at multitasking, effectively managing multiple priorities during the day. You will be capable of differentiating between process, data and system issues and able to direct and advise to ensure successful solutions are deployed.&nbsp; Your communication and customer service skills will be essential in helping users through the problems. In order to do this, you will have the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. You will manage financial and personal data with a high level of accuracy, whilst ensuring compliance with controls and regulations.
