Can you support residents of the Isle of Wight and actively listen to what is important to them? Ensuring that they gain the right support at the right time and in the right place. Can you give guidance to restore meaningful activities so that individuals can lead fulfilling lives within our community?
We have an exciting opportunity available within Adult Social Care Isle of Wight. We are seeking an enthusiastic, and self-motivated Occupational Therapist to join our community occupational therapy service.
The role encompasses the following:
<ul>
<li>Working across the Isle of Wight to provide OT input to a wide variety of disabled people including elderly, learning disabilities, dementia and neurological conditions.</li>
<li>Residents&nbsp;may initially need guidance through signposting to maintain their wellbeing and independence, to those who have complex&nbsp;health&nbsp;needs requiring further assessment.</li>
<li>Assess those that are Care Act eligible and providing equipment, advice and support, referrals for DFG’s.</li>
<li>You will have a caseload of clients and will work autonomously to complete assessments and follow up actions.</li>
<li>Knowledge of specialist equipment is essential, training can be given to the right candidate. &nbsp;</li>
</ul>
You will be supported by the team, provided with regular supervision. Flexible working and hybrid working
You will be part of a progressive team, using an enabling, adaptive approach, supporting people to live in their own homes where-ever possible, and in the least restrictive way. This may involve sign posting and giving information and advice, or the prescription of aids and adaptations where appropriate.

Pool cars and pool bikes available.About the JobAs an Integration and Support Supervisor, you will oversee the daily delivery of a diverse integration and support service to a range of clients.Our work in Integration and Support Team and any given day can often feel quite different from the next! There will be some key responsibilities likely to feature in this role, including:<ul>
<li>Daily management of the casework service, overseeing resources within budget constraints to ensure service continuity and consistent service levels, including planning for and addressing fluctuations in service demand.</li>
<li>Recognising and responding to urgent safeguarding needs, promoting long-term planning when appropriate, identifying and addressing gaps in policy or practice, and ensuring the efficient allocation of work within the team.</li>
<li>Working collaboratively across WSCC and partner teams and services to coordinate efforts in identifying areas for improvement within the service, with a particular focus on opportunities to enhance customer self-service.</li>
<li>Being a proactive leader, you will manage an Integration and Support team, overseeing their performance management and professional growth. This includes establishing mentorship programs, setting and monitoring goals and objectives, and maintaining a balance between skill development and ongoing training to ensure a highly effective team.</li>

<li>Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent qualification or experience, demonstrating comparable applied knowledge in researching, analysing, and evaluating arguments and information related to refugee support or a related field.</li>
<li>Supervisory or management experience and evidence of continuous professional development.</li>
<li>Skills to work in a customer-focused manner, delivering high-quality service with excellent attention to detail, thereby establishing trust and confidence with customers.</li>
<li>Proven ability to compose and produce clear, concise written business reports for various purposes, including research, project proposals, and business cases outlining recommended courses of action.</li>
<li>Strong IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office packages, enabling the production of written and statistical reports.</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills, particularly verbal communication, with the ability to influence the actions of others and convey complex and potentially sensitive information.</li>
