The Governing Body of Somerville Federation would like to appoint a Nursery Administrative Assistant to join our Federation office team from 23rd February 2026 or earlier if possible. The post is a part time position in term time only and will be located at the Nursery School site on Brentwood Street. Duties will include: Supervising children in the dining room, playground and classroom to provide a secure and happy environment for children at lunchtime Organising games and activities Monitoring and encouraging positive behaviour and relationships, effectively managing any incidents Promoting good table manners and social skills, Administering basic first aid (the successful candidate will be required to complete a one day first aid course)

Health &amp; Safety: Ensure the school site is compliant with all H&amp;S legislation, including fire safety, legionella checks, and risk assessments and statutory compliance using appropriate software. Security: Be responsible for the security of the premises, including locking/unlocking the site and managing alarm systems. Grounds Maintenance: Oversee the upkeep of the school grounds, playgrounds, and external areas (e.g., litter picking, minor gardening, gritting paths in winter). Team Management: Line-manage a small cleaning and/or caretaking team. Facilities Management: Manage stock control for maintenance supplies and cleaning materials, ensuring value for money.

Fender Primary School and Ganey’s Meadow School and Family Centre are seeking to appoint a joint part time caretaker for our popular, inclusive and thriving schools which share a site. Both schools are well regarded by the local community and are located on the Woodchurch Estate. As our morning Caretaker, your role and duties (including security, routine repair work, maintenance, and compliance) will be split evenly between the two schools. This role is a permanent part-time position following the retirement of our previous caretaker and you will be working under the guidance of our full time Site Manager.
The ideal candidate will: Demonstrate a commitment to working with the Site Manager to ensure our schools are always the best they can be. Be hardworking and flexible with a can-do attitude. Have the capacity to problem solve in a calm and professional manner and a willingness to learn new skills. Be able to identify and prioritise tasks. Strategic Planning Manager
We are looking for a tenacious leader to work with our Strategic Planners to take us forward into this new era of planning policy.&nbsp; We have a fully resourced team who have shown remarkable resilience in progressing our Local Plan to adoption in March 2025.&nbsp; We are looking for someone who is ready to scope a way forward, show initiative and act independently but with full support of the Chief Planner.
A critical part of the role will be building a solid relationship with the Development Management Manager to ensure there is a holistic approach to planning for Wirral in the future. &nbsp;
The role specifically recognises the importance of protecting build heritage in Wirral and the postholder will also manage the experienced and successful heritage team, as they seek to proactively manage the remarkable environment across Wirral.&nbsp; We also have ambition to develop the strategic service further and you would be a key part in shaping and realising that goal, bringing your own vision and passion.

Are you looking to start your career in property and asset management? We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Assistant Asset Surveyor to join our multi-disciplinary Asset Management Team. You’ll play a key role in supporting the management of a diverse property portfolio and delivering strategic asset management objectives for the Council.

What You’ll Do

The role holder will be part of a M365 team that sits within the Digital Experience section of Digital and Data Architecture service. It has a vital role in the design, build and implementation of enterprise collaboration tools, applications, and AI capabilities across Microsoft 365, ensuring maximum business value for the organisation.
The role will focus on developing and delivering new tools and capabilities to provide innovative solutions working with the latest technologies including Microsoft365 Copilot and Copilot Studio. The role holder will work across our Council services uncovering AI use cases, to create and deliver solutions, engaging on adoption, as well as providing end user support and training.
The programme is designed to develop future public Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) Service professionals by providing a framework to operate within as well as the necessary support to facilitate attainment of a professional qualification. You’ll gain hands-on experience across a broad spectrum of functions while studying for a&nbsp;Level 4 AI Transformation Specialist qualification.
