What you’ll do on a typical day:

<li>Work at the crematorium at New Pond Road in Godalming.</li>
<li>Be the front face of the crematorium and the point of contact for funeral directors and officiants assisting with queries.</li>
<li>Receive the deceased into the chapel performing necessary ID checks with coffin plate.</li>
<li>Be responsible for the smooth running of the chapel, making sure services run to time and in accordance with all procedures and industry standards.</li>
<li>Coordinate with music providers, officiants and funeral directors regarding webcasts, service recordings, music requests and service content.</li>
<li>Operate music and webcasting systems.</li>
<li>Maintain a strict cleaning regime between services in the chapel and assist with daily cleaning of site including book of remembrance, flower room, staff and visitor facilities and maintaining cleaning records.&nbsp;</li>
<li>From time to time, provide cover in the bereavement services office including data input, taking bookings for services, answering telephone enquiries and performing witnessed laying to rest of ashes.</li>
<li>Complete fire alarm testing weekly and be a nominated fire warden for the site.</li>

In addition to the salary stated, this role attracts an essential car user allowance which is £963.00&nbsp;per annum with 40.9p per mile paid.
The successful candidate will hold a clean, current driving licence and use of their own car.
You will contribute to the delivery of an efficient and effective Building Control service for the Borough, including taking decisions of allocated Building Regulation applications, notices and matters allocated by the Building Control Manager, enabling the delivery of quality developments in line with legislation, industry performance guidelines and internal targets.

You will have significant post-qualifying experience in statutory work with children and families. About The Role
A Senior Planner will help with the delivery of major sites; leading on complex and major planning applications, liaising with developers, applicants and senior officers, conducting negotiations and presenting applications to Planning Committee. The appointment will be commensurate with experience.
We would also consider a planner at the beginning of their career and offer a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience and to develop a strong foundation for a career within the Built Environment, determining a large number of householder and minor applications, as well as contributing to the overall work of the teams.

About The Team You’ll Be Working In
Hounslow are looking for a Career Grade Planner to join their award-winning Development Management Team. The team are currently working on a wealth of planning applications critical to the social and economic wellbeing of the borough. We have high housing targets to achieve, new schools to place children in and need to create opportunities for employers who want to be in our well-located borough. This must be balanced against acting on the boroughs Climate Emergency and with Green Belt, listed buildings, conservation areas and River Thames frontage that need protecting. The Look Out Discovery Centre is a very popular visitor attraction with a hands-on science and discovery exhibition, gift shop, coffee shop and play area, set in 1,000 hectares of Crown Estate woodlands.&nbsp;

As our Cook, you will be right at the heart of the kitchen! You will be cooking up a variety of tasty treats – from sausage rolls and pastries to potato wedges, halloumi burgers, cakes and plenty more. It is an important role that keeps everything running smoothly, making sure the team has all the ingredients they need for sandwiches and other menu favourites. You will help keep the kitchen clean, organised and buzzing, using equipment like ovens, Merrychefs, hobs and grills to serve up great food every day.

The Woodlarks Cafe team play a key role in helping ensure our customers enjoy their day out at The Look Out Discovery Centre. We take pride in offering friendly, high-quality service while keeping our environment clean, safe and enjoyable for all.
Open seven days a week, The Look Out Discovery Centre is dedicated to providing a fun and relaxing experience. As part of our team, you will play an important role in making each visit a memorable one.
<h3>Key responsibilities...</h3>
<ul>
<li>Provide hot and cold food and drinks consistently, with a high degree of accuracy, whilst working under pressure.</li>
<li>Provide a role-model for the Catering Assistants and the other Cooks, demonstrating the professional standards required of a commercial catering operation, by working at a high tempo, with clear focus and a problem solving, can-do approach.</li>
<li>Take pride in the menu offer, contributing ideas to the continual improvement of catering services, working with the Catering Manager and Assistant Manager on the options for improved items and the more efficient delivery of the existing menu.</li>
<li>Work carefully, to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and best industry practice, including Food Safety regulations, HACCP procedures, allergen regulations (FIR regulations), and COSHH regulations, through monitoring process and procedures.</li>

We have a new opportunity for a Repairs Surveyor to join our Housing Asset Team. As a Repairs Surveyor you will carry out surveys, property and disrepair inspections and oversea the delivery of sub-contracted repairs to ensure repairs are highlighted and completed in accordance with Woking Borough Councils standards and timeframes.
Reporting to our Housing Repairs Manager you will carry out surveys to properties within the Woking region including Damp and Mould inspections. You will be responsible for diagnosing the cause of complex faults and failures and post inspect works supporting Woking properties to ensure that high quality works are delivered within budget, on time safely and to a high standard whilst achieving and maintaining customer satisfaction KPI’s while ensuring value for money is achieved through the delivery of effective procurement and management of repairs.
The successful candidate will be customer focused, and have great customer service skills and the ability to work autonomously to improve our property standards. An experienced and highly knowledgeable repairs surveyor.
A full driver's licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role.
