This includes contributing to budget setting, budget monitoring, and delivery within budget targets, including the Section 17 budget and MASH budget.&nbsp;</li> <li>To take lead responsibility for specific areas of practice and strategic development relevant to the service, including but not limited to Children’s legal planning and Havering Safeguarding Children’s Partnership. This involves maintaining engaged and effective multi-agency, collaborative working relationships across the partnership to ensure services are utilised appropriately.&nbsp;</li> <li>Deputise for the Assistant Directors, and/or Director of Starting Well as and when required, including attendance at multi-agency meetings, boards, and/or committees as required.</li> <li>Identify areas of improvement and deliver training to the services. About Us
This is an exciting opportunity to join our community teams across Kent as we enhance our locality working practice and put the person and good practice at the heart of what we do.
We work with adults with a range of care and support needs placing individuals at the centre of their support. You will undertake work of varying levels of complexity including, Care Act Assessments, Mental Capacity Act (MCA) Assessments, Court of Protection applications and s42 safeguarding enquiries.
Our social care interventions are structured around the three pillars of excellent practice, exceptional innovation, and meaningful measures. Therefore, our work is orientated around building relationships with the individual their families and carers. We engage with communities early on to help people feel empowered to find trusted help and support locally from a range of sources.
About You
We welcome applications from experienced social workers who can demonstrate post-qualification experience in Social Services, Health related agencies or related private or voluntary organisation.
You will hold a registration with a professional body (Social Work England, HCPC, Nursing and Midwifery Council) and be competent to work at the Advanced Practitioner level of the Professional Capabilities Framework for Registered Practitioners
You will have experience of managing risk and completing safeguarding enquiries&nbsp;
You will be able to demonstrate expertise in the supervision and development of staff, including performance management&nbsp;

Our day opportunities service spans over the whole of Redbridge Council and you will be working across all sites within Redbridge.
You will manage a fast paced and challenging community-based service, which supports vulnerable and disabled service users and their carers.&nbsp; You will have a proven track record of efficient management of a community-based day opportunities service, with extensive experience at adult social services managerial level.&nbsp;
You will have working experience of the philosophy for dynamic service provision, including promoting individual rights, independence, choices and inclusion. You will have specialised experience of providing creative services for people living with advanced dementia, physical and sensory disabilities, learning disabilities and mental health. This will include developing and managing community-based programmes of provision based on the findings of care act assessments, person centred plans and risk assessments. Central to this is to manage the delivery of, effective, efficient and value for money services, with particular emphasis on project delivery and income generation to support the councils&amp;© budgetary pressures.
You will be able to demonstrate experience of managing and developing a large team of Senior Community Support Workers, Community Support Workers and other staff.&nbsp; You will lead on consultation with service users, carers and families to ensure service provision is of a high standard and good outcomes are met.&nbsp; You will ensure person centred support plans and key working are in place and audit these.&nbsp; You will deliver on people&amp;©s aspirations of independence, including health and wellbeing outcomes, community outcomes, personal empowerment and development, wishes and to try new things.&nbsp;
You will also need to demonstrate experience of managing budgets and be responsible for management of budget of 100k and above.&nbsp; You will understand financial procedures and how to work within audit guidelines, recommendations and council policies and procedures.&nbsp; You will also have responsibility for management and development of income generation to the council.
This post requires you to demonstrate management level leadership within an Adult Social Services environment.&nbsp; Please do not apply if you cannot demonstrate this.
