An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Guildford Borough Council’s high-performing Planning Policy team as a&nbsp;Principal Strategic Infrastructure Officer. About the Role
This role plays a key part in supporting the development of infrastructure strategy and policy for the Local Plan and other planning policy projects. You will:

<li>Oversee the commissioning and development of evidence to support the implementation and review of the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL).</li>
<li>Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the successful planning and delivery of infrastructure aligned with the Local Plan.</li>

About You
You will have:

<li>A recognised degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning.</li>
<li>Chartered membership of the RTPI (or eligibility for membership).</li>

The Waste Strategy team works across our in-house waste operations (domestic and commercial), street cleaning and fleets departments. We improve the Council’s operational services and support business as usual activity. We focus on supporting, developing and delivering initiatives that improve council operations cost efficiency and deliver performance improvements in nationally reported KPI’s. We are seeking a highly organised and motivated&nbsp;Community Safety Partnership Support Officer&nbsp;to join our dedicated Community Safety team. In this vital role, you will provide administrative and coordination support to help deliver effective community safety initiatives, ensuring our residents, partners, and stakeholders receive a professional and responsive service.
You will play a key part in supporting the team’s work on crime reduction, anti-social behaviour, safeguarding, and community engagement by managing casework systems, coordinating communications, and maintaining accurate records.

<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>

Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Community Safety team and the Joint Guildford &amp; Waverley Community Safety Partnership Executive.
</li>
<li>
Maintain and update case management systems, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
</li>
<li>
Act as a first point of contact for enquiries from residents, partner agencies, and internal teams.
</li>
<li>
Arrange and minute multi-agency meetings.
</li>
<li>
Prepare reports, briefing notes, and statistical information as required.
</li>
<li>
Assist in coordinating community safety projects, events, and campaigns.
</li>
<li>
Ensure sensitive information is managed in line with data protection and safeguarding requirements.
</li>
<li>
Support the monitoring of action plans, deadlines, and performance indicators.
</li>
</ul>

<h3>About You</h3>
We are looking for someone who is:

Highly organised&nbsp;with excellent attention to detail.

Able to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
</li>
<li>
A strong communicator—both written and verbal—with the ability to deal confidently with a range of stakeholders.

Proficient in using Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn new systems.

Calm under pressure, able to prioritise competing workloads, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.

<li>
Interested in community safety, safeguarding, and partnership working.

Experience in a similar administrative role, especially within community safety, housing, local government, or the public sector, is desirable but not essential.

The Housing Income Specialists provide a vital link to other service units enabling the Council to deliver a comprehensive housing and income service. We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team of four front line Housing Income Specialist, within the Neighbourhood Housing, Income Collection Team.
Acting as the first point of customer contact, the role of Housing Income Specialist is to be responsible for rent income collection and associated charges in a defined geographical area within the borough of Guildford. The role involves dealing with sensitive issues, often within a pressurised environment where strong negotiation skills and having assertiveness in difficult situations are essential requirements. Previous experience of giving debt advice and/ or welfare benefit advice would be desirable.

We’re looking for a confident and experienced Collections and Exhibitions Manager to join our Heritage Service as maternity cover. The role is responsible for our collection of over 100,000 objects and our exhibitions and activities programme across our four attractions; Guildford Museum, Castle, Guildhall and Guildford House. The successful candidate will be able to work proactively, flexibly and efficiently to support our small team delivering curated exhibitions, collections care and development, loans in/ out whilst maintaining all relevant industry standards.
In addition, the role is responsible for the relocation of our off-site stores which will happen in the summer of 2026. This encompasses rationalisation and disposal of objects according to our own, and industry, policies, processes and standards, as well as all logistics to move the majority of our collection of objects to our new stores.
The Collections and Exhibitions Manager will be directly responsible for two direct reports, and have suitable experience in managing and supporting a small team.
Our ideal candidate will have a friendly attitude, the ability to work flexibly across sites and workstreams, and be able to successfully manage our stores relocation, working with council colleagues to do so.
