They empower, provide high support and challenge along with motivating our social workers and personal advisors so we can collectively achieve best outcomes for children, their families and the victims in the borough.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What does the team do?</strong></p><p>The Youth Justice Service provides support and intervention for children, their families and the victims in Tower Hamlets and the City of London. We are an innovative team that is dedicated to ensuring that our community that we serve are able to collaborate and have their voices heard whilst recognising the strength in our partnerships to try and prevent further harm from occurring. We are embedded within the wider Supporting Families Directorate which includes Children Social Care and Early Help services. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>What will your role be?</strong></p><p>In this dynamic and influential role, you will take the lead in quality assurance, learning reviews, and workforce development as well as managing a team of specialist staff within the Youth Justice Service. You will provide effective day-to-day leadership and management oversight of specialist practitioners, ensuring a strong focus on reducing and preventing offending/re-offending, managing risk, safeguarding, and supporting resettlement.</p><p>You will also oversee quality assurance, learning reviews and workforce development, ensuring youth justice practice remain evidence-based and aligned with key legislative and policy requirements. Working alongside the Learning Academy, you will embed a culture of continuous learning and professional development, equipping our workforce with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver impactful outcomes. Additionally, you will support the Head of Service to build strong partnerships with agencies to drive collaborative, integrated approaches that strengthen outcomes for children, families, and victims.</p><p>As part of the management team, you will contribute to and help deliver a service plan with clear targets aimed at improving outcomes for children and victims. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference to young people at a crucial stage in their lives.
