We are responsible for financial management and corporate accounting for a number of services across the council and work closely with budget holders to support the delivery of the corporate plan.This apprenticeship is run by Accountancy Learning who is responsible for supporting you with your learning and carrying out assessments. Your role will be linked to the knowledge, skills and behaviours in the apprenticeship standard and once you are competent in all these areas you will take an End Pont Assessment before successfully completing. You will receive support from a nominated mentor, throughout the duration of the apprenticeship.&nbsp;Delivery will be online, blended learning and you will have weekly meetings with your tutor, interactive learning sessions, workbooks, webinars as well as lots of learning opportunities in the workplace.You will gain knowledge in maintaining systems and accounting records, reconciliations, using IT systems, preparing and processing journals, budget setting, supporting colleagues and developing communication skills whilst gaining invaluable experience in the workplace in applying and putting this learning in practice.&nbsp;You will build and develop relationships with colleagues, customers and other stakeholders and work in a team to meet the requirements of the service/school.As well as the job related experience and apprenticeship qualification, you will receive all the benefits and opportunities of being an employee of Brighton &amp; Hove City Council, one of the City’s largest employers. Hamilton Lodge is seeking a strategic and dynamic Charity Bursar to lead our vital business and operational functions. Reporting directly to the Trustees, you will ensure the effective financial, administrative, and legal management of the charity, while helping shape our long-term strategy.
You’ll be a key member of the School Leadership Team and the Trustees’ Executive, overseeing charity compliance, HR, premises, facilities, IT, marketing and fundraising. A crucial part of the role involves preparing and presenting reports for the Board of Trustees, managing annual audits and ensuring our operations are sustainable and aligned with our mission to support Deaf children and young people.
