About the role
Icklesham Church of England Primary School and Nursery are looking to appoint an ambitious, forward thinking and enthusiastic Nursery Manager. The role includes working alongside our Early Years Lead and Headteacher to provide the highest quality early years education in our school-based nursery. Our nursery welcomes children from 2 years and is part of an Early Years Village model, including a reception class taught by our Early Years Lead.
Working hours are 37.5 per week, term time only, starting on 1st September 2025. Hours are 8:30am – 4:30pm, to include nursery opening hours 8:45 – 3:15 and our Tea Club after school care 3:15 – 4:30.

- Be self-motivated, adaptable and able to multi-task in a busy nursery environment
- Be able to prioritise their own workload
- Understand school policies and procedures and apply them as required
- Be willing to undertake training, including for safeguarding and special education needs
Applicants must also hold a relevant Level 3 Qualification and have experience within an Early Years setting.

Working pattern: Full-time, Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)
