About the team
The Facilities Management Team support a wide range of HCC services including Libraries, Fire Stations, Day Care Centres and Main Offices in ensuring they have safe and well-maintained buildings to work in and deliver services from. The Compliance Team play a key role to ensure this delivery is in line with the current safety legislation and regulation.
The Compliance Team work closely with the FM Helpdesk, FM Officers, wider Property Department Staff, other Service Departments and external contractors to deliver this work.
About the role
- Auditing and uploading servicing documents to the Corporate Property Database (CPD) including cross referencing equipment serviced
- Ordering future service visits
- Tracking and monitoring remedial works linked to servicing
- Raising queries with Contractors
- Pulling together performance information, statistics, running reports from CPD
- Writing and reviewing risk assessments and method statements
- Carrying out safety audits / reviews of paperwork received e.g. Fire Risk Assessments, Permit to Works
- Supporting the training needs of the FM team including delivering training on use of the CPD
- Managing email inboxes / enquiries
- Visit sites as necessary
- Support further development of CPD
About you
Essential:
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Ability to multi task, prioritise workload
- IOSH Managing Safely qualification
- Good understanding of Health and Safety at Work legislation
- Good understanding of Health and Safety legislation related to work equipment and machinery
- IT skills – ability to use databases, Microsoft applications
- Good communication skills, written and verbal and confidence to deal with enquiries, queries, questions
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Ability to drive and use of a vehicle
Desirable:
- Experience of dealing with building / equipment maintenance type work
- Understanding of Compliance in building management
- Willing to work towards NEBOSH General Certificate
