An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead and deliver our statutory responsibilities in relation to Community Safety for the Council.
As the Community Safety Partnership Lead Officer, you will be customer-focused with the ability to interact empathetically with a wide variety of people. You will have an excellent grasp of Community Safety Partnership (CSP) work, Antisocial Behaviour, Domestic Abuse and have a proven-track record of working collaboratively with external partners. You will have substantial experience in at least one of the above specialisms.
Working with well-established policies and processes, we are looking for someone who can build great relationships with customers, colleagues, community stakeholders and partner agencies, using all available tools to bring cases to a swift and successful conclusion.
You will be the designated Domestic Abuse Lead for Welwyn Hatfield by procuring funding to commission projects, as well as the lead for Domestic Abuse Homicides and chair the Council’s Domestic Abuse Forum and Conference.
Qualified to degree level or equivalent relevant experience, you will bring expertise knowledge of appropriate legislation and best practice. It is essential, above all, you share our passion for realising positive change and be ready to go the extra mile to accelerate our journey towards excellence.
The role will require you to work occasional evenings and weekends. You will have a full UK driving licence and have access to a car.
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
