Working as part of the Management Team, you will manage all aspects of operating the centre when on duty, ensuring high standard of customer care and safe operation of all activities.Key duties are :-<ul><li>Taking full responsibility for operation of the facility including acting as keyholder, security when opening/closing facility, and implementation of all Normal and Emergency Operating Procedures</li><li>Leading and managing the centre teams on duty, ensuring that high levels of centre presentation and service delivery are achieved at all times</li><li>Ensuring the centre operates in line with H&amp;S and legislative requirements, and Council Policy and Procedures.</li><li>Manage any incidents arising, taking the lead in response to an emergency situation.</li></ul><h4>What We're Looking For</h4><ul><li>Duty Managers need to be responsible and calm under pressure.</li><li>You will have a friendly, approachable manner, excellent verbal communication skills.</li><li>Good numerical and written skills and be committed to delivering excellent customer service to our customers.</li><li>Ideally, you will have supervisory experience in the leisure &amp; hospitality or service industries and a good knowledge of the day-to-day running of a busy Leisure Centre.</li></ul><h4>Additional Information:</h4><ul><li>Ideally, you'll have your National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) and Pool Plant Operators Certificate, but if not free training can be provided subject to passing a swim test</li><li>The hours of work will be shift based, requiring early morning, evening and weekend working</li><li>Roles are available on a full time (36hrs), part time and casual basis</li><li>DBS required</li></ul><h4>Additional Information</h4>Closing Date: Monday 22 September 2025Interview Date: Tuesday 30 September 2025We are an organisation that is passionate about our people and understands that richness of diversity is a requirement to provide the best possible services to our communities. Main responsibilities:

<li>Deputise as the main keyholder being responsible for security of the premises. To include the</li>

opening up and locking of premises including extended school provision, lettings and
emergency call outs, identifying and training a suitable 2nd keyholder to cover periods of
absence.
<ul>
<li>Be the second on site contact for all school estates projects, under the direction of Site</li>
</ul>
Manager, Regional Estates Manager and Capital Project Managers.
<ul>
<li>Follow GLT financial processes, including monitoring the delegated estates budget, and</li>
</ul>
ensuring best value.
<ul>
<li>To deputise for the Site Manager in managing a range of re-decoration and maintenance work,</li>
</ul>
as agreed with the Regional Estates Manager to ensure a high standard of repair &amp; decoration
throughout the school, following GLT Safe System of Working protocols.
<ul>
<li>To deputise for the Site Manager in managing the site team in undertaking activities to</li>
</ul>
maintain a safe and clean external environment e.g. gritting, litter picks, waste collection and
removal, graffiti removal, safe access routes and keeping drains free from obstruction.
<ul>
<li>To deputise for the Site Manager in being responsible for carrying out Health and Safety and</li>
</ul>
compliance checks including: Fire, Asbestos, Legionella, vehicles, and to keep accurate online
records and paperwork relating to statutory compliance, building, plant, and equipment
servicing and maintenance.

effectively direct work on site.

You will need:

</ul>

<li>NVQ 3 or 4 OR equivalent qualification</li>
<li>Caretaking/Site Management experience in a school or similar environment</li>
<li>Working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice/legislation</li>
