Redbridge is an ambitious diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we have developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.
We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the city.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Early Years SEND Support Service (EYSENDSS). This service includes Pre-School Home Visitors, Area SENCOs, Specialist Advisory Teachers and Specialist Teaching Assistants. The service provides specialist assessment, advice and support for children aged 0 to 5 years with a range of special educational needs and/or disabilities across all early years settings, including schools.
The service support families to help meet their child's full potential and settings to deliver their statutory duties, playing a key role in maintaining and improving the quality of provision and outcomes for young children.
As a Group Support Assistant, you will be working with children and families primarily in Children&©s Centres across the Borough. You will be providing advice and educational support for young children who attend local groups with a variety of additional needs.
You will be tasked with making universal groups as inclusive as possible. You will be responsible to the Children's Centre managers.
Interviews will take place on week commencing 16th June 2025.
