Although you will lead on PVI Reviews, there is the opportunity to undertake PVII Reviews to ensure a broadening of your knowledge and experience.</p> <p><strong>You will be expected to:</strong></p> <ul>\n<li>Make decisions based on the PVI Housing Act 1996 with regard to Newham's Allocation Scheme. </li> <li>Provide written instruction to applicants on the outcome of their review, giving appropriate advice on any subsequent actions they may choose to pursue. </li> <li>Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and policies. </li> <li>Working closely with other departments within the council to ensure a cohesive approach to housing allocations. </li> <li>Maintaining accurate records of decisions and reviews. </li> <li>Participating in training and development opportunities to stay up-to-date with changes in housing legislation. </li> <li>Take a ‘risk-based’ approach when reviewing cases, using sound judgement and a comprehensive knowledge of the relevant legislation.
