We are seeking a compassionate and skilled professional to join our Localities team within Adult Social Care as a Social Work Assistant. This full-time role requires strong emotional intelligence and previous experience of working with vulnerable adults.
In this impactful position, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to have independence through strength-based care and collaborative planning. You will work closely with individuals to conduct assessments that promote autonomy, choice, and dignity.
We need a dedicated professional with:
- A passion for person-centred care and a commitment to improving lives.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with colleagues, families, and the community.
- An NVQ3 in Care (or equivalent qualification) or demonstrable experience in the care sector, such as working with vulnerable adults in a senior role within a registered provider setting or day care.
- A proactive and confident approach to problem-solving, with knowledge of The Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Human Rights Act, and Data Protection Act.
- The ability to travel across the Island, so access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license are essential.
